Job description

Under the authority of the Training Manager the Warfare Instructor is responsible for the delivery of operational training in the fields of Principal Warfare Officer (PWO) and Gunnery.

The instructor will design, prepare, and deliver theoretical and practical training modules covering naval warfare fundamentals, tactical planning, combat decision-making, and the employment of weapon systems, with a focus on artillery and fire control.

The instructor will also be responsible for the implementation, preparation, and conduct of training sessions using the tactical simulator, ensuring realistic and operationally relevant scenarios. This includes the development of exercises, supervision of simulator sessions, and debriefing of trainees.

The role requires close coordination with the training chain of command at the Qatar Naval School, as well as with DCI project management. The instructor will contribute to the continuous improvement of training programs and ensure alignment with modern naval doctrines and operational standards.

Additionally, the instructor will assess trainee performance, produce training reports and maintain proper documentation

Profile

Professional background: 
- Former Surface Warfare Navy Officer, specialized in Gunnery / Naval Artillery (Art specility in French Navy)
- Significant operational experience at sea in a PWO role

Technical Skills :
- Strong knowledge of naval warfare doctrines and tactical procedures
- Expertise in naval weapon systems, fire control, and engagement processes
- Proven experience with combat systems and tactical simulators
- Ability to design and conduct complex operational scenarios

Instructional and Training Skills :
- Ability to deliver high-level military instruction
- Strong skills in briefing, debriefing, and performance evaluation
- Experience in simulation-based training environments


Personal Qualities :
- Ability to integrate within a multicultural military environment
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively within a structured organization
- Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
